Or possibly, "That which doesn't kill us leaves us hooked up to life support until we slowly waste away..." On second thought your quote's more uplifting.
I thought also that maybe it could be "that which does not kill us just really pisses us off." Or, more appropriately for me, "that which does not kill us gives us something to whine about incessantly."
Born and raised in a forgotten logging town. Traveled to the Great White North at an early age with a bunch of gypsies that played guitar and smuggled pot. Was a side show freak in a carny show from the ages of 12 to 18. Music, comic books, and poetry were my saviors. Saved a hooker from being shot. Wandered the desert for a year and then came home. I have been a bouncer and it was fun. Found the love of my life. Have a daughter. Bought an old house because it fit.
